Our Story
MannaBrew New Zealand began around a campfire.
We first discovered MannaBrew when our cousin Frederik came to visit from South Africa. On a camping trip near the base of Mount Ruapehu, we sat around the fire beside an ice-cold mountain stream and tasted MannaBrew for the very first time.
It was warm, rich, smooth, and comforting, everything we loved about the ritual of coffee, but naturally caffeine-free, so we could enjoy it at night without the buzz, jitters, or restless sleep.
Sitting there in the mountains, we realised this was something we wanted to share with our friends, our family, and the people of New Zealand.
MannaBrew is made from 100% naturally roasted mesquite seed pods, wild-harvested in South Africa. It is a coffee alternative for people who love everything about a proper cup, the taste, the comfort, the warmth, and the daily ritual, but want a gentler way to enjoy it without the usual side effects of caffeine.
But MannaBrew is more than just a drink.
The mesquite used in MannaBrew is part of a bigger story of land restoration, sustainability, and creating value from an invasive tree species in South Africa’s Karoo region.
We are proud to bring MannaBrew to New Zealand and share the goodness we first discovered beside that mountain stream.
Thank you for supporting our small family journey.
